Women’s Community Shelters (WCS) is an Australian charity working directly with local communities to set up crisis accommodation shelters for women and children experiencing homelessness and domestic and family violence. A leading organisation in both the domestic violence and homelessness sectors, our expert staff bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to facilitating the workshops, and will be on-hand to offer professional support and guidance.
WCS OFFERS A NUMBER OF CORPORATE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES AS DETAILED BELOW:
HELPING HANDS
WCS will assemble a team of your volunteers to take on gardening, painting, and minor exterior repairs at one of our transitional properties. It’s a “backyard blitz”-style event that gets your staff out of the office, working hands-on, and making a meaningful impact.
Please note that this opportunity is available only when suitable projects arise. However, if you’re interested, we’d be happy to add you to our waitlist and notify you when opportunities become available.
ALLIES IN ACTION - AVAILABLE NATIONWIDE
A fantastic corporate volunteer opportunity co developed in partnership with Team Building With Purpose. ‘Allies in Action’ is a fun, fast-paced and highly interactive session that promotes teamwork, a deeper understanding of WCS’ work and provides tangible activities to support the women and children in our shelters.
